Advisement at GOAL
The advisement program at GOAL is a collaborative partnership involving the counselor, teachers, students, parents, and staff from each student’s base school. Together, we help students set academic and behavioral goals, monitor their progress, and ensure they stay on track to meet graduation requirements. Parents should be aware of the following key information:
Promotion Requirements:
5 units to be promoted to 10th grade
11 units to be promoted to 11th grade
17 units to be promoted to 12th grade
23 units required to graduate
(Students must meet all course, unit, attendance, and testing requirements to earn a high school diploma.)

In addition, students have access to short-term individual and/or group counseling as needed. If you believe your child would benefit from speaking with the counselor, please contact the front office or your child’s teacher to request a referral.
